One Amazon-related thing that's bothered me for a while is that the "gay fiction" best seller list on Amazon is almost exclusively filled with m/m romance books clearly aimed at straight women. As a reader it annoys me as it makes it harder to discover new gay-themed stuff, but wondering what you thought as a writer.

Yeah, I feel your pain. I\’m not interesting in M/M romance either. But I guess it\’s a fact that the pool of \”straight female readers\” is bigger than the pool of \”gay male readers,\” despite there being overlap.

(It's a hard topic to talk about without sounding like you're criticizing people. I believe people have the right to read and write whatever they way. I just have zero interest in straight-out romance in general. I doesn't speak to me as a writer. But as you say, it seems to have completely overwhelmed the market. And, as a result, I do get a fair number of readers who are upset when it turns out that my books are NOT outright romances. Yikes.)
